Michael Schumacher defends Ferrari

Michael Schumacher defends Ferrari

Michael Schumacher, the ace Ferrari driver, says the Formula One racing world has yet to see what his car can do. So far, the German's results have fallen short of expectations.

He was second in his first race, sixth in the second and crashed halfway through the race last weekend.

"The car is fast, but we haven't been able to demonstrate this yet," Schumacher told the ANSA news service on the sidelines of intense testing at the Vallelunga circuit outside Rome. "We have to make sure we use this power well."

The next grand prix series race is April 23 at Imola and Ferrari chief Luca Cordero di Montezemolo, ANSA reports, has said the team "must" win it in order to overcome the troubled start to the season.
